Canister Light

Capacitate baterie: 14.4Ah
Curent bec: 50W
Iluminare: 36 flood
Timp de functionare estimat: 2h 45m
Greutate: ~8kg
Flotabilitate: -2kg (negativa 2kg)
Folosirea "Canister light":

As main light I'm using one 50W "Canister Light" (I have no clue how you translate this in romanian) with halogen and sealed lead-acid batteries (very important to avoid gas acumulation during usage making the canister to blow off)
The model is "hand made" in a industrial manner, in other words there is one person that is doing this kind of canister light based on order. The good side is that they are actualy indestructible, really, and all spare parts are available in any electrical appliances shop inclusing teh batteries so the maintenance of them is realy cheap compared with some branded canister light.
The light is manufactured in Finland by Tero Sinkkonen from Joensuu (city in Finland) and is available either from Tero directly or via SubAqua Finland.
Battery capacity: 14.4Ah
Current bulb: 50W
Light: 36 flood
Estimated burn time: 2h 45m
Weight: ~8kg
Canister light usage:
Normally, canister lights are attached to the waist belt when using a wings/harness configuration. If using the canister light with a normal BCD, you can thread it through tank cam, however this will make it impossible for you to switch the lamp on and off during the dive. Please agree with your buddy about this. Avoid switching the lights on outside water. The lamps heat up to a considerable temperature, and the glass may crack when coming to contact with cold water.
The lamp heads include a Goodman-style handle which can be used with either left or right hand. The handle can be adjusted to suit the hand size of the diver.
Important:
* always have with you at least a backup light (preffered to have two)
* always know the estimated burn time of your lamp
In the attached picture you can see the "Canister Light" close to a CD case to be able to estimate the size of it.
