Egypt, Dahab Blue Hole, May 8th-15th, 2010
Introducing a project of sensibility for the protection of the Blue Hole coasts in Dahab, Egypt. The event has been organized by Mares, Gianluca Genoni Apnea Team, Beyond Limits, CWDS (Chamber of Diving & Watersports), National Parks of Egypt and Dan Europe.
The event will involve both freedivers and scuba divers.
Main goals:
Clean up all trash around the area of the Blue Hole coast, mainly consisting of plastic bottles
Create a structured trash collection system for people visiting the area
Gather freedivers and all those who have passion for the sea, for one week of freedive training
DAN will be also be present at the event, giving everyone the opportunity to monitor their vital parameter before and after the freedive training.
Everybody is invited to take part in the event different from the performance. During the week all underwater photography for the freedive event will be taken by the director of Apnea Magazine, Alberto Balbi.
