In cautarile pe internet am descoperit o comparatie foarte frumos scrisa intre:

- jacket BCD
- back inflate
- backplate/wing

Foarte interesant, dar eu vad un dezavantaj mare la sistemul "bp/w rig", si anume greutatea back plate-ului, mai ales daca le cari cu avionul.

Salut,

Backplate-ul nu este chiar asa de greu, cel pe care l-am comandat are in jur de 2kg (5.11 pounds = 2.31785701 kilograms). La el se adauga masa wing-ului si a harness-ului care nu cred ca depasesc 1kg impreuna.

Prin comparatie, fostul meu BCD avea 3,6kg.

A venit in sfarsit bp/w-ul de la Deep Sea Supply. L-am asamblat la munca si ma gandesc daca o sa fie maine vreme propice (macar sa nu fie valuri mari) ca sa o incerc! :P

Si alte cateva poze, facute in acelasi decor, la wing-ul meu :-).

Cateva impresii:
- materialele sunt de o calitate deosebita (peste nivelul vestelor de marca obisnuite)
- asamblarea nu e usoara :-) chinga este foarte rigida, si a fost ceva munca sa le asamblam. ramane de vazut daca am intuit corect cat trebuie sa lasam liber pentru neopren.. cel mai probabil nu, si vom avea de muncit pe plaja la reglat.

Mai multe dupa ce le udam.

Impresii post-utilizare:
- de la 8kg de lest, am ajuns la 3kg; nu ies calculele prea bine pe hartie, dar ori neoprenul s-a mai turtit de la ultima verificare, ori wing-ul se ventileaza mai bine. oricum, rezultatul e minunat.
- zvonurile despre pozitia in apa sunt false (sau poate sunt adevarate la jachete back-inflate, nu la wing). poti sa adopti in apa sau la suprafata orice pozitie - vertical, pe spate, orizontal, intr-o parte.. orice. pozitia va fi stabila fara efort.
- inflator-ul scurt sta perfect la locul lui, pe umar, fara nici un efort; foarte usor de gasit in apa; mai greu cu umflarea orala, dar nu imposibil.
- tot sistemul sta foarte fix/stabil pe corp, nu joaca ca o jacheta; cureaua dintre picioare nu e deranjanta
- senzatia de libertate datorata faptului ca pe corp ai doar niste chingi este deosebita

Pe scurt: superb. Cum zic toti dupa ce au incercat asa ceva.. nu stiu de ce am folosit jacheta pana acum.

La ce foloseste tubul inserat pe chinga de burta?

"Canister simulator" - are forma canistrei de baterii a unei lanterne serioase, ca sa poti ruta furtunul lung de 2.10m pe sub ea daca nu ai lanterna. Cum eu folosesc un asemenea furtun..

harnasamentul este tip hogarthian - banda simpla de nylon, cu inele si catarame. nimic spectaculos, doar simplu si eficient.
